The game lasts for ninety minutes. There are two halves of forty-five minutes each. Players try to kick the ball into the other team goal. The team with more goals wins the match. Players cannot use their hands or arms. Only the goalkeeper can use hands inside the goal area.

Football players wear special clothes. They wear a shirt, shorts, and socks. They also wear special shoes called boots or cleats. The boots help them run on the grass. The goalkeeper wears different clothes to be easily seen.

A football team has different positions. There are defenders, midfielders, and forwards. Defenders protect the goal. Midfielders play in the middle of the field. Forwards try to score goals. The goalkeeper protects the goal from the ball.

People watch football in stadiums. The stadiums have many seats. Fans cheer for their teams. They sing songs and wave flags. Football matches are exciting to watch. The atmosphere in the stadium is loud and happy.

Football is good for health. Players run a lot during the game. This exercise makes them strong and fit. Football also teaches teamwork. Players must work together to win. Communication is important in football.

Children love playing football. They play in school and in parks. It is a fun sport for everyone. Football brings people together. Friends play football together on weekends. Families watch football matches on television.

Professional football players are famous. They play for big clubs. Some players play for national teams. The World Cup is a big football tournament. Countries from all over the world participate in it. Football is truly a global sport.
