I am Priya . I am fourteen and I study at Westbridge School . Last month our class cleaned Riverside Park as a community project . Our teacher Mr Ellis organized the event with the town council . We met at the park gate on a cool Saturday morning . Twenty students arrived with gloves , bags , and reusable water bottles . The council worker explained which areas needed the most help . She pointed toward the river path and the old playground . We separated into small teams and started near the main entrance . My team collected plastic bottles and paper cups from the grass . We filled four large bags before we moved toward the benches . The park looked cleaner with every step we took . Near the playground another group picked up broken toys and old wrappers . They swept sand back into the box under the slide . A boy named Omar painted over graffiti on a wooden fence . Everyone worked hard and talked quietly between tasks . At the river path we noticed bottles trapped near the stones . We waded carefully and pulled trash from the shallow water . Mr Ellis photographed our progress and thanked each student by name . A council worker counted the bags we filled along the path . After two hours we rested under a large oak tree . The council shared fruit and sandwiches with the whole class . We talked about how much waste appeared in public spaces . Mr Ellis explained how recycled plastic returned to new products in local factories . Before we left , we planted small flowers near the entrance sign . We watered the plants and raked leaves from the nearby path . The park looked brighter and more welcoming when we finished . Parents who passed by smiled and thanked us for the work . We returned to school on Monday and discussed the project in class . Mr Ellis posted photos on the school website . Our class planned another visit in the spring . Riverside Park stayed important to everyone who lived nearby . Last month taught us that small actions changed a shared space . We enjoyed working together and learning about recycling . The clean park reminded us to respect nature every day . I felt proud when I walked past the entrance on my way home .
