Vivimos en el barrio de San Pedro desde hace tres años. El barrio es tranquilo y verde. Hay muchos árboles en las aceras y un parque central grande.

La calle principal tiene tiendas pequeñas y una farmacia. La panadería abre a las siete de la mañana. El olor a pan fresco llega hasta nuestra ventana. No hay grandes centros comerciales aquí.

Nuestros vecinos son amables. La señora López vive en el piso de arriba. Ella cuida plantas en el rellano del edificio. Sus macetas tienen flores rojas y blancas todo el verano.

Los niños del barrio juegan en el parque central. Hay columpios, una zona de baloncesto y un kiosco de helados. No hay mucho tráfico en las calles laterales. Los padres se sientan en los bancos y hablan.

Mi colegio está a diez minutos caminando. No necesito autobús para ir a clase. Camino con mi amiga Lucía casi todos los días. Lucía vive en la calle paralela.

Por las noches el barrio es silencioso. Oigo a veces un perro lejos, pero no hay ruido fuerte. Mi familia duerme bien aquí. No echamos de menos la ciudad ruidosa donde vivíamos antes.
