I am Nina. Last Saturday my brother Hugo and I went to the city center with our dad. Mom stayed home because she had work on her laptop.

We took the bus at ten o'clock. Dad bought two tickets at the stop. Hugo wore his blue jacket. I wore my red scarf because the morning felt cold.

When we got off the bus, we saw tall shops and bright signs. A street musician sang near the fountain. People stopped and listened for a minute.

We went into a small café first. Dad bought hot chocolate for Hugo. I drank tea and ate a plain croissant. The waiter came with sugar and spoons.

After that we went to the old bookshop. Hugo found a comic he liked on a low shelf. I found a travel book with photos of rivers. Dad paid at the counter and put the bags in his tote.

We met our aunt Rosa near the museum steps. She came from work and wore a green coat. She told us about a new art show inside. We chose to visit the exhibit together.

The museum felt quiet and warm. We saw paintings of boats and hills. Rosa told short stories about each artist. Hugo drew small faces in his notebook during one talk.

We left the museum before lunch. We went to a food hall across the street. I ate soup and bread. Hugo ate noodles and drank cold juice. Dad paid again and we sat by the window.

In the afternoon we went to the river walk. We saw ducks under the bridge. A cyclist ran past us on the path. Dad took photos while the sun came out.

Hugo lost his glove near a bench. We looked behind the seat and found it under a leaf. He felt happy and wore it again. We told Dad the little story and laughed.

We bought fruit at a market stall before we went home. Rosa chose apples and pears. Dad got oranges for Mom. We met a friend who spoke about her new job.

We took the tram back as the sky grew darker. I fell asleep for five minutes on Hugo's shoulder. Dad woke me gently when we came to our stop.

At home Mom made dinner. We told her everything we saw and bought. She gave us warm hugs and hot soup. The day felt long but good.

Last Saturday brought us closer as a family. We went far, we saw art, and we ate well together. Hugo kept his comic on his desk all week. I kept the travel book beside my lamp.
