Mr. Harrison always starts his working day very early. He arrives at the train station at five o'clock in the morning. He puts on his blue uniform and checks his schedule for the day.
First, he inspects the big train engine to make sure everything works perfectly. He talks to the station master and receives a green signal. Then, Mr. Harrison sits in his driver's cabin and starts the engine.
The train leaves the busy station at exactly six o'clock. It moves quickly along the steel tracks. The train passes through deep forests, green fields, and over long grey bridges. Mr. Harrison always watches the tracks carefully.
The train stops at several small stations along the way. Passengers get on and get off the train. Mr. Harrison sometimes waves his hand to the children who watch the train from the platform. They always wave back and smile.
At noon, the train arrives at a large city station. Mr. Harrison gets a short break of one hour. He usually walks to a small café near the station. He always orders a hot chicken sandwich and drinks a cup of black coffee.
After his lunch, Mr. Harrison drives the train back to his home city. The afternoon journey is very quiet. The passengers usually read books, listen to music, or sleep in their comfortable seats.
He enjoys looking at the changing weather through the front window. Sometimes it rains, and sometimes the sun shines through the white clouds. Mr. Harrison knows every turn of the track perfectly.
He returns to the main station in the evening. He parks the train carefully and turns off the big engine. He writes a short daily report in his notebook and gives the keys to the next driver.
Mr. Harrison walks back to his home where his family waits for him. They eat a warm dinner together and talk about their day. He always feels proud of his work as a train driver.
