Edinburgh is the capital city of Scotland. It is a very historical and beautiful place. Every weekend, thousands of tourists visit this city. However, do they see the real Edinburgh? Do locals and tourists do the same things on Saturdays? Let us look at their different routines.

In the morning, tourists always wake up early. They want to see everything. They visit Edinburgh Castle on the hill, walk down the historic Royal Mile, and buy expensive souvenirs. Do they enjoy the castle? Yes, they do! It is very interesting. But where do they eat? They usually go to busy restaurants in the city center.

Locals do not go to the castle on Saturdays. They think it is too crowded. Instead, they sleep a bit longer. They wake up at nine o'clock and walk to small local cafés in their neighborhoods. They drink coffee, read newspapers, and chat with their neighbors. Do they buy souvenirs? No, they do not. They buy fresh bread and organic vegetables at local markets.

In the afternoon, the weather is often rainy. Does it stop the tourists? No, it does not. They just put on their raincoats or go to national museums. They do not want to waste their holiday time.

What about the locals? If it rains, they do not walk in the parks. They stay at home, read books, or watch football on television with their families. Some locals go to cozy pubs to meet friends. Do they drink warm tea? No, they do not. They prefer craft beer or Scottish whiskey.

In the evening, tourists often go to traditional Scottish dinners with bagpipe music. They love the cultural shows. Do they stay up late? Yes, they do. They want to enjoy the city's nightlife.

On the other hand, locals usually have a quiet family dinner. They cook simple food at home. They do not go to expensive shows. They prefer to relax and rest.

So, is Edinburgh the same for everyone? No, it is not. Tourists and locals live in different worlds on Saturdays. But both groups agree that Edinburgh is a truly wonderful city!
