Inside the library, there are many rooms. There is a reception desk near the entrance. A friendly librarian sits at the desk. She can help you find any book. There are computers at the reception desk too. You can search for books on the computers.
The ground floor has the fiction section. There are thousands of books on the shelves. The shelves are tall and wooden. There is a ladder on wheels next to each row of shelves. You can use the ladder to reach the books at the top. There are comfortable armchairs near the window. You can sit and read there.
There is a children's corner in the left part of the ground floor. There are picture books, comics, and easy story books in the children's corner. There are small, colourful chairs and tables too. Children can sit there and look at books. There is a storytelling event every Saturday morning. You can come and listen to stories.
The first floor is the study room. It is a quiet place. There are long tables and chairs in the study room. There is a sign on the door. It says "Please be quiet." You can do your homework or study there. There is a good wifi connection in the study room.
There is a reference section next to the study room. There are dictionaries, encyclopaedias, and atlases in it. These books are very useful for research. There is a sign on the shelves. It says "Please do not take these books home." You can read them in the room.
There are rules in the library. You can borrow up to five books at a time. You can keep them for three weeks. You can return them at the reception desk. You cannot eat or drink inside the library. You cannot make noise. You cannot use your phone for calls in the reading areas.
There is a café in the basement. You can have a coffee, tea, or juice there. There are sandwiches and cakes in the café. It is a nice place to relax between study sessions.
The library also has events. There are talks, book clubs, and exhibitions. There is a noticeboard at the entrance. You can see the events on it. There is usually something interesting every week.
Our library is a wonderful place. There is something for everyone. It is a quiet, friendly, and useful place in our town. You can visit it any day of the week.
