Practica imperativos básicos en seguridad de cocina: Do not touch, Stand away, Turn off. Fase notice alta densidad.
Stand away from the stove when it is on. Do not touch the hot rings. Do not put your hand near the flame. Ask an adult before you use the oven. Open the oven door carefully. Use the thick gloves in the drawer. Do not use a thin cloth.
Do not leave the kitchen when something is on the stove. Stay near it. Watch the pot. Turn the handle of the pot to the side. Do not leave the handle sticking out. A handle that sticks out can knock over the pot.
Wash your hands before you start cooking. Use soap and warm water. Scrub for at least twenty seconds. Rinse well and dry with a clean towel. Put the towel back in its place. Do not leave it on the counter.
Keep knives in the drawer or in the knife block. Do not leave a knife on the edge of the counter. When you cut food, keep your fingers away from the blade. Ask an adult to help with sharp knives. Hold the knife handle, not the blade.
Do not run in the kitchen. Walk slowly. Stop and look before you open a cupboard. Move carefully near the stove. Keep children and pets away from the hot zone near the oven. Close the oven door after you check the food inside.
Do not put metal objects in the microwave. Remove all foil from food before you use it. Press the correct button. Set the timer carefully. Do not stand with your face close to the microwave door. Step back and wait.
Check the floor before you move. Wipe up spills right away. Do not walk over a wet floor without drying it first. Use the mop in the closet. Put it back when you finish. Keep the floor clear and safe.
Turn off the stove when you finish cooking. Check the knobs twice. Do not forget. Unplug the toaster after use. Do not leave it plugged in all day. Put the bread bag away and close the cupboard.
Call an adult if something goes wrong. Do not try to fix a fire alone. Leave the kitchen quickly and close the door. Go to a safe place. Call for help. Stay calm and follow instructions. Kitchens are safe places when we respect their rules.
