In the middle of the market there is a big cheese table. There are hard cheeses and soft cheeses. There is a young man who can cut you a slice to taste. There are biscuits to eat with the cheese. There isn''t a charge for tasting. My mother buys a small round cheese with herbs inside.
Further along there is a honey stall. There are five types of honey in large jars. There is a light golden honey and there is a very dark one from the forest. On the left side there is a flower stall. There are big bright sunflowers and there are small pink roses. There are plant pots for the garden too. There is always a wonderful smell near that corner.
At the far end there is a small food truck. There are hot sausages and there is a pot of warm vegetable soup. There are a few wooden seats nearby. There isn''t a cover over the seats, so we sit only when it is dry. Today the sun is out, so we sit and enjoy our soup.
Before we leave, my mother finds a stall with homemade cakes. There are lemon cakes and there are chocolate brownies. There is one slice of apple pie left. She buys it for me.
There is always something new at the market and there are always friendly people to talk to.
