Hello from London. My name is Oliver. I am twelve years old. I am in Year Seven at a school in North London. My school is called St George School. It is a big school with about eight hundred students.
Let me tell you about my family. There are four of us. My father is a doctor. He can work long hours, but he is always cheerful. My mother is a teacher. She teaches English at a secondary school near our house. She can speak French too, because she studied in Paris. My sister is nine. Her name is Amy. She is full of energy. She can run, jump, and play all day.
Our house is on a quiet street. There are three bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room, and a garden. There is a big apple tree in the garden. In autumn, there are lots of apples on the tree. My father can make apple juice with them. It is delicious.
My bedroom is on the first floor. There is a window with a view of the garden. There is a desk under the window. My books and my laptop are on the desk. There is a shelf above the desk with my favourite books and some model cars. My sister cannot touch them. They are very important to me.
I like sports. I can play football in the park near our house. There is a football pitch there. I can also swim. There is a swimming pool at our school. I can go there on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
My favourite subject at school is History. My teacher is Mr Simms. He is a very good teacher. He can make history interesting with stories and pictures. My second favourite subject is Art. There are many things to create in art class.
I can tell you more about London too. There is a lot to see and do. There are museums, parks, and markets everywhere. Near our house there is a market every Saturday morning. You can find fruit, vegetables, second-hand books, and interesting things there.
