Student: Of course. My name is Max. I am in Class 7B. I can answer your questions. Ask me anything.
Reporter: Thank you, Max. Can you tell me about your English teacher?
Student: Her name is Ms Clark. She is a very good teacher. Her lessons are always interesting. There is always a new activity or a game in her class. She can explain grammar clearly. She can also make us laugh. Her classroom is room twelve. It is on the first floor.
Reporter: What is in your English classroom?
Student: There is a big whiteboard at the front. There are many posters on the walls. The posters have grammar rules and vocabulary on them. There is a reading corner in the back of the room. There are English books, magazines, and comics in it. Our desks are in groups of four. My desk is near the window. There is a view of the school garden from my desk.
Reporter: What can you do in English now?
Student: I can read short stories. I can write simple sentences and paragraphs. I can understand my teacher when she speaks English. I can also have a basic conversation. There is still a lot to learn, but I can feel the progress.
Reporter: Can you remember something difficult at first?
Student: Yes. At first, I could not remember all the pronouns. It was confusing. There is a poster on the wall with all the subject pronouns on it. My teacher put it there for us. There is also a chart for possessive adjectives. Now I can use them without thinking.
Reporter: Can you tell me about the grammar topics you studied this year?
Student: We studied articles first. There is a lot to know about a, an, and the. Then we studied subject pronouns and possessive adjectives. My teacher says possessives are very important because we use them every day. We also studied there is and there are. After that, we studied can and cannot for abilities. We studied imperatives too. And we learned prepositions of place: in, on, and at.
Reporter: Can you give an example with some of these topics?
Student: Sure. There is a book on my desk. It is my English book. I can open it and find a story. The story is in the middle of the book. My teacher can read it with us. She can ask us questions. We can try to answer.
Reporter: What can you say about your progress?
Student: I can speak more than at the start of the year. My vocabulary is bigger. There is more confidence in me when I speak. My classmates can help me if I make a mistake. Our class is a good team. I am happy with my progress.
Reporter: Thank you, Max. Can you say one last thing to students who are just starting to learn English?
