Last month began with a cold week in early May. Two months ago the weather was warmer, so last month students wore jackets in the playground again. Our class started a reading project on the first Monday of last month, and we finished it on the last Friday.
On the second week of last month our sports team won a match against Hill School. Three weeks ago we lost to the same team, so last month's victory felt special. Coach Reed said we practiced harder during the week before the game.
Last month I also visited the dentist on a Thursday afternoon. Six months ago my last check-up showed no problems, but last month the dentist asked me to brush more carefully near the back teeth. Mom booked the next visit for three months later.
During the third week of last month our neighbour moved to a flat near the river. Five days ago I helped carry boxes up the stairs with my dad. Last month their old house looked empty for a week before new owners arrived.
On the final weekend of last month our family drove to the coast for one night. Last summer we stayed there for a full week, but last month the trip was short and quiet. We walked on the beach on Saturday and returned home before lunch on Sunday.
Last month ended with an exam in science and a concert at school. Two years ago I played in the same hall as a beginner, and last month I felt more confident on stage. Yesterday my teacher read our scores aloud, and I smiled because last month's study hours helped.
