Many guests, some food, any chairs en contexto festivo. Fase guided.
Dad counted some names on his phone and said maybe twelve people, not many children but some cousins from the coast. Mom asked if he sent any reminders to Uncle Mark. Dad said he sent some messages yesterday but did not receive any reply yet.
We needed some food for many hungry visitors. Mom wrote some dishes on a paper and asked if we had any rice left in the cupboard. I checked and said there was some rice, not much, but enough if we bought some more at the shop.
At the market Mom picked some vegetables for soup. The seller asked if she wanted any herbs today. Mom chose some parsley and some dill because the soup would feed many bowls. I carried some bags while she looked for some chicken.
Back home Dad asked if we had any extra chairs. He brought some folding chairs from the garage and cleaned some tables on the terrace. I asked if many people would sit outside. Mom said some guests preferred the garden if the weather stayed warm.
Grandma arrived early to help. She asked if we needed any advice about the cake. Mom smiled and said she already ordered some cream from the bakery. Grandma said some simple cakes tasted better than any fancy design with too much sugar.
In the afternoon I helped set some plates and some glasses on a long table. My brother Tom asked if there were any napkins in the box. I said we had some paper napkins and some cloth ones for the adults.
Tom counted some forks twice because he worried we did not have enough. I said many forks were in the drawer and we would not need any new ones. He relaxed and placed some flowers in a jar near the window.
Before guests arrived Mom asked if I had any music ready on the speaker. I chose some calm songs because not every guest liked loud pop. Dad said some quiet music would help people talk without much shouting.
The first visitors rang the bell at four o'clock. Aunt Rosa brought some wine and asked if we had any ice for drinks. Dad said he put some ice in a bucket near the terrace. Some neighbours came too and brought some bread.
During dinner many people praised the soup. Uncle Mark asked if there was any more rice. Mom said she cooked some extra and he could take some home later. Grandma laughed and said she did not expect any party this lovely.
After cake some children played in the garden. Tom asked if any of them wanted some juice boxes. Many hands went up, so I opened some boxes from the fridge. Mom said we did not spend much money but the day gave much joy.
