At rush hour on Monday many people stand at six thirty near the doors. On Tuesday the six forty train is full at six thirty-five when I board. In the evening I return at five forty-five on the platform at the city terminus.

At noon on Wednesday I take a later train at twelve fifteen for a meeting. On Thursday I work from home in the morning and travel at two in the afternoon. In winter darkness I leave home at five fifty and arrive at six twenty-five.

On Friday night friends meet in the city at seven. I catch the eight ten train home at eight five from platform two. At the weekend last trains run at eleven on Saturday night and at ten on Sunday.

In January ice sometimes delays trains at seven in the morning. On snowy days staff announce changes at six at the loudspeaker. In February repairs happen at night on the line near the bridge.

On March fifteenth timetables change at the start of spring. New trains arrive at six five instead of six ten on Monday routes. In April flowers bloom at the station at five when I pass at dawn.

At Easter we visit cousins in another town on Sunday at eleven. We change trains at the junction at ten forty and arrive at eleven thirty. In spring holidays children travel at nine with parents on day trips.

On my birthday in May I treat myself to a coffee at eight at the café by the station. At nine I sit on the train at a window seat and read until nine forty. In May sunshine mornings feel bright at seven when doors open.

At summer festivals in July bands play in the city at eight at night. I go on Saturday at six and return at midnight on the last train. In August heat the carriage is warm at five in the afternoon.

On the first of September students fill carriages at seven thirty. In the autumn term I stand at six forty on Monday with a backpack. At university open day on October twelfth crowds arrive at ten in the morning.

At Christmas I travel home on December twenty-third at four in the afternoon. On Christmas Day no trains run at any hour in our region. In the last week of December timetables return at six on the twenty-seventh.

At present I buy a monthly pass on the first day of each month at the ticket office. On pay day at the end of the month I renew online at eight in the evening. In the morning at six I tap my card at the gate and board at six twelve.

Station clocks show the hour at every platform from early at six to late at eleven.
