I have worked as a junior copywriter since June 2022. I have written weekly newsletters and have designed A/B tests for subject lines. Last quarter I led a product launch that increased sign-ups by twelve percent. In 2023 I won an internal award for a holiday campaign.
City Print Studio, Manchester — 2019 to 2022
I worked as an intern for six months, then as a marketing assistant for two years. I created posters for local shops and managed the studio Instagram account. I left in May 2022 when I moved to London. During that period I learned Adobe tools and I met my current mentor.
Education
I have studied communication design at Northbridge College since 2018, completing modules online after 2020. I graduated in 2021 with merit. Before college I attended Riverside High School, where I edited the student magazine in 2017.
Skills
I have learned SEO basics and I have completed two analytics courses this year. Last year I attended a weekend workshop on brand voice. I speak English and French. I have translated short ads for a charity project since January.
Volunteering
I have volunteered at a community library since March 2023. I helped organise a reading week last April. In 2022 I joined a river cleanup for one day, and I have stayed in touch with the team since then.

Notes for readers
CVs mix tenses on purpose. Present perfect shows ongoing relevance: I have worked since, I have studied since, I have volunteered since. Past simple closes chapters: I worked from 2019 to 2022, I left in May, I graduated in 2021. When a date ends the story, past simple fits. When the story still touches today, present perfect fits.
Interview tip: if a recruiter asks what you have achieved recently, use present perfect with this year or so far. If they ask what you did at your last job, use past simple with in 2020 or during my internship. Both sections on one CV answer different questions with different tenses.
