Reporter : Thanks for meeting us , Priya . Can you tell our readers about your first job interview last month ? Priya : I was nervous all morning . I was preparing answers at the kitchen table while my brother was eating breakfast and asking questions . Reporter : Where was the interview ? Priya : It was at a design studio near the park . I was arriving ten minutes early because I did not want to be late . The receptionist was smiling when she was showing me to a small waiting room . Reporter : What was happening while you were waiting ? Priya : Two designers were discussing a project in the corridor . I was reading notes on my phone when the manager opened the door . She was not wearing formal clothes , which surprised me a little . Reporter : Did the conversation go well ? Priya : I think it went well . She was asking about my portfolio while I was explaining my college projects . I was not expecting questions about teamwork , but I answered with examples from a group assignment last year . Reporter : Were there any difficult moments ? Priya : Yes . The printer was not working when I tried to show a paper sample . I was apologizing , but she was laughing and saying technology fails every week in their office . Reporter : How did you feel after the interview ? Priya : I was walking to the bus stop when she called with good news . I was standing near a flower shop and was not believing my ears at first . My hands were shaking while I was listening . Reporter : When did you start the job ? Priya : I started two weeks ago . On my first day colleagues were introducing themselves while I was setting up my desk . The manager was explaining daily tasks , and I was writing everything in a notebook . Reporter : What surprised you about the workplace ? Priya : People were helping each other openly . I was expecting silence , but the studio was full of short conversations and music . I was not used to such a friendly atmosphere in my old part - time job . Reporter : Any advice for other first - time candidates ? Priya : Prepare examples from real projects and do not panic when something goes wrong . I was forgetting one file , but I was honest about it . The manager was respecting that honesty more than a perfect presentation . Reporter : Thank you , Priya . We wish you success in the new role . Priya : Thank you . I was dreaming about this job for months , and now I am learning something new every day .
