In the aftermath of the Second World War , the newly formed United Nations faced an unprecedented conceptual challenge : how to articulate a shared moral framework for a fractured world . The task of drafting this foundational document fell to a diverse committee of diplomats , philosophers , and legal scholars , chaired by the formidable Eleanor Roosevelt . The process was fraught with profound ideological divisions . Which of the human rights outlined in the Declaration do you consider the most difficult to protect in the modern world ?
