Mom noticed Alma is going to start violin lessons in September, so practice time before the trip matters too. Before the meeting ended we split tasks clearly. I will book transport, Alma will list campsites, Mom will confirm her sister's guest room, and Dad will set a spending limit we will respect when restaurants will tempt us with dessert menus.
Mom said the holiday will succeed if we will stay flexible and kind when plans will shift. Dad said he will save reservation confirmations in one folder on his phone. Alma said she will create a group chat where updates will appear without long phone calls during work hours.
When we cleared the table I felt relief. August still looked far away, but decisions will guide us better than vague hope. We will travel together, we will share chores, and we will return with stories that will last longer than any single sunny afternoon by the lake.
