Ben works at a design studio on weekdays and often stays until seven at night. On Monday he had a client call at nine in the morning and a presentation at three. In the first week of November he travels to Berlin on the eighth for a conference.
I teach language classes at the community centre on Tuesday at six and on Thursday at five. On Wednesday I prepare lessons at home in the morning and visit my mother at two. In September I started a new evening group because many students work at offices until five.
Ben said he runs at six on Tuesday near the canal when street lamps still glow at dawn. I walk at seven on Saturday with my neighbour when the market opens at eight on the square. In winter we both prefer indoor exercise at the gym at night after work.
We talked about holidays because Ben wants time off at Christmas on the twenty-fourth and twenty-fifth. I plan a short trip on the second of January when tickets cost less at the booking site. In December shops near my flat stay open late at eight for gift buyers.
Ben forgot his umbrella on Friday at the office and got wet at five walking to the bus. I lent him one on Saturday at eleven when we met again at the library. In the reading room we studied quietly until one at the table by the window.
He asked if I am free on the fifteenth for a concert at the town hall at eight. I checked my calendar and said yes because my exam week ends on the twelfth at noon. In the evening on the fifteenth we can eat before the show at six at the Italian place on King Street.
Our conversation moved to family because Ben visits his parents on the last Sunday of each month at eleven. I call my brother in Canada on Sunday at nine in the evening when he is awake at lunch there. In spring we hope to meet in person on a trip at Easter if flights stay affordable.
Before we left the café at five thirty, rain stopped and light returned at the corner. Ben walked me to the tram at six and we promised to share photos after the concert. In busy weeks small meetings at four on Sunday help us breathe and remember friendship beyond schedules.
Time expressions appeared naturally as we compared days, but grammar was not our focus today. We simply lived inside hours at work, on weekends, and in seasons that change too fast each year.
