Tom arrived first because he lives on Oak Street, and he likes walking to the park on weekends. He brought sandwiches for us, and he gave me a bottle of water when I forgot mine at home.
Sarah joined us at half past ten on her blue bicycle. She loves riding in the park because the paths are flat and safe. She showed us her new helmet, and we told her it looked bright and fun.
Do you like picnics in the park? I like eating outside, and my friends enjoy sitting on blankets under the trees. Tom does not like ants near food, but Sarah does not mind them if we keep the bags closed.
At noon we played frisbee on the open field, and Tom taught me a better throw because my first attempts flew too high. He passed the disc to me, and I passed it to Sarah when she called my name from the left side.
Sarah likes taking photos, and she took many pictures of us on the bridge at one o'clock. She sent them to me later in the evening, and I showed them to my brother when I got home.
We sat by the lake at two in the afternoon, and ducks came close because Tom shared bread with them. I told him not to give them too much, but he laughed and said the birds looked hungry.
Does Tom like swimming in the lake? He does not swim there in spring because the water feels cold, but he likes watching boats on the water in summer. Sarah and I enjoy reading on the grass when he looks at the boats.
At three we packed our bags, and Sarah rode home with us for a short visit. My mom made tea for her in the kitchen, and Sarah thanked her because the day felt perfect.
In the evening I wrote a message to Tom and Sarah. I told them I liked our Saturday, and I asked if they wanted to meet again on Sunday next week. Tom replied quickly because he likes planning fun days, and Sarah sent a smile because she loves our little group.
Do you meet friends at the park on weekends? I do not go every week, but I like these simple days because they help me relax after school. My friends and I enjoy time together, and the park gives us space to talk, play, and laugh without hurry.
