Dear Aunt Lidia,
Thank you for your message about the spring festival in our town. I wish you could visit this year; however, your clinic schedule looks full until June. Therefore I will describe the events so you can picture them from afar.

Children enjoy separate activities. Craft tables open near the library; therefore families can rest while kids paint masks. Although queues form quickly, tokens limit waiting times. In addition, a puppet show runs hourly in the small theatre.
Music fills the square by afternoon. Brass bands alternate with acoustic duos; however, volume rules keep evenings neighbour-friendly. Consequently, loud concerts finish before nine. Moreover, silent fireworks replaced traditional ones, reducing stress for pets.
I volunteered at the information desk on Friday. Many tourists asked for maps; therefore we printed simplified routes in three languages. Although my shift was long, meeting visitors from other regions felt rewarding. Furthermore, I practiced explaining directions with clear linking words.
Sunday closes with a community meal. Long tables stretch along the canal; nevertheless, everyone brings a dish to share. As a result, the meal costs little for the council. In contrast, restaurant bookings nearby still sell out because visitors extend their stays.
If your schedule loosens, the guest room is ready. Train tickets are cheaper three weeks ahead; moreover, I can meet you at the station. Although April nights are cool, the heated blanket you left still waits in the cupboard.
