Marco: I finished it on Thursday night. I was editing slides while my neighbour was playing loud music through the wall.
Anna: I was walking to the shop on Friday when I met our old teacher Mr Reed. He was carrying flowers for his wife.
Marco: Was he still living near the school? I was thinking about him last month when I passed the gate.
Anna: Yes, he was living there. We were talking for ten minutes while people were passing on the pavement.
Marco: On Saturday I was hiking with my cousin. We were climbing slowly because the path was muddy after the rain.
Anna: I was visiting my parents. My mother was cooking soup while my father was repairing a chair in the garage.
Marco: Did anything funny happen? A dog was following us for two kilometres while we were looking for the trail sign.
Anna: Nothing that funny, but my brother was calling from abroad when dinner was ready. We were laughing because the time difference confused him.
Marco: Sunday was calm. I was reading on the sofa while coffee was brewing in the kitchen. I was not planning to leave the house.
Anna: I was preparing lessons for Monday while I was listening to a podcast. Were you relaxed? I was not relaxed until evening.
Marco: A little. In the afternoon I was cycling to the lake and was watching ducks near the reeds. It was the best part of the week.
Anna: Next week will be easier. I was telling myself that on Sunday night while I was packing my bag for school.
Marco: I hope so. We were working too hard, and we were not taking enough breaks. Let us meet for coffee soon.
Anna: Good idea. I was wanting to hear more about your hike when we were not rushing between meetings.
