At dinner we talked about future studies. Iris wants a path that is more visual than my plan for engineering labs. I said labs are more structured than open studio days, yet both routes can be more satisfying than choosing a subject only because it sounds easy.
Before bed Iris gave me a small card she painted. The colours were softer than the posters we debated earlier. I wrote a neat thank-you note in return, and she said my handwriting is clearer than hers on envelopes.
Siblings can be more different than strangers and still build a home that feels stronger than competition. Iris is more creative with brushes, and I am more careful with numbers, yet we learn more together than alone in quiet corners.
