Dear Residents of Oakwood Court , on behalf of the Residential Management Committee , I am writing to provide our annual summary of structural improvements and maintenance projects that were carried out across our apartment estate over the past twelve months . Thanks to your prompt service charge contributions , extensive modernization works were completed on schedule , ensuring our building remains safe , comfortable , and energy efficient for all families . The most urgent task was the comprehensive roof renovation that was undertaken during early summer . Damaged slate tiles were replaced by certified roofing contractors , and waterproof insulation was installed across both residential wings to prevent seasonal dampness . In addition , all exterior drainage gutters were cleaned , broken downpipes were repaired , and modern protective leaf guards were fitted to ensure smooth rainwater flow throughout stormy autumn weather . Significant aesthetic and safety enhancements were also introduced throughout our communal interior spaces . The dark corridors on all four floors were repainted in warm neutral tones , and durable commercial carpets were laid along the stairwells . Faulty fluorescent light tubes were replaced with energy - saving LED motion sensors , which significantly reduced our communal electricity bills . The main entrance security doors were upgraded , and digital intercom monitors were fitted in every individual flat . Finally , our shared communal gardens were redesigned by an experienced landscape gardener . Overgrown bushes were cleared , new wooden benches were installed under the cherry trees , and colourful perennial flowerbeds were planted along the walkways . Maintaining a comfortable residential environment requires long - term investment and cooperative goodwill among neighbours . When structural renovations were completed in your building or school , what improvements were noticed most by you ? How are communal areas maintained effectively in your neighbourhood ?
