Dear neighbours,
I am writing to summarise the improvements that were made in our building during last year. Many of you asked for updates at the residents meeting in December, and I hope this letter answers your questions.

The courtyard was redesigned in autumn. Broken paving was removed, and benches were placed under the existing trees. Bicycle racks were bolted near the side gate, and a small herb garden was planted by volunteers.
Security cameras were updated in October. Blind spots were covered, and recordings are now stored for thirty days. Privacy rules were explained at a short meeting so residents know how footage is used.
Fire equipment was checked throughout the year. Alarms were tested monthly, and extinguishers were replaced where expiry dates had passed. Emergency exits were marked with reflective signs.
Some delays were unavoidable. Delivery of new windows was postponed when supply chains were disrupted, but installation was finished before cold weather arrived. Apologies were accepted graciously by most owners.
Costs were shared according to apartment size. Invoices were sent by email, and payments were recorded in a transparent spreadsheet. Questions were answered by the treasurer within two working days.
