Weekend Spanish Reading Plan (7 Days, A2-B1)
A reading week you can start this Saturday: seven short Spanish texts, 15-20 minutes each, with a clear job for A2 and B1 days. Habit, not a jump to B1.

Saturday morning. You searched for a weekend Spanish reading plan and found a 30-day PDF, a speaking app, or another "learn Spanish in a week" page. You wanted seven short texts and a timer. Not a promise of B1 by Sunday.
A weekend Spanish reading plan is seven short sessions you can start on Saturday (or any day): 15-20 minutes each, one finishable text, A2 most days and one honest B1 stretch. It is a habit week, not a jump from A2 to B1. If a random page is under about 80%, step down that day. Still A1? Use the short Spanish stories for day one first. Come back when a page of Aprendiendo a reciclar en casa is mostly clear.
Weekend here means the day you start, not the day you become B1.
Want a book you can finish Saturday and Sunday? That list lives on short Spanish novels for a weekend. This page is seven short texts across seven days.
Below: the 7-day table, how one sitting works, why A2 and B1 days have different jobs, what to do if you miss a day, where the library fits, then FAQ.
What do I read each day this week?
Call it a Saturday Start if you like: Day 1 is Saturday so the weekend is a short start, not a cram and not a rest day. Same 15-20 minutes. One named short. Then Monday keeps the same loop.
| Day | Clock | Role | Band | Named text |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sat (1) | 15-20 min | Warm-up finish; prove the loop | A2 | Aprendiendo a reciclar en casa |
| Sun (2) | 15-20 min | Second finish, same ease | A2 | La aventura de acampar |
| Mon (3) | 15-20 min | Volume, everyday topic | A2 | Visitando a los abuelos en el pueblo |
| Tue (4) | 15-20 min | Volume, different setting | A2 | Un día en el zoológico |
| Wed (5) | 15-20 min | Light stretch, or reread if tired | A2 high | Un día divertido en el parque de atracciones |
| Thu (6) | 15-20 min | B1 stretch; stop if under ~80% | B1 | El Misterio del Mapa Pirata |
| Fri (7) | 15-20 min | Recap phrases + easy A2, or second B1 if Thu felt fine | A2 recap / B1 | Mi robot ayudante en el futuro or Mi primer viaje solo en tren |
The strip is the whole plan. Saturday and Sunday prove you can finish. Monday and Tuesday add ordinary topics. Wednesday is a light stretch you can skip if you are tired. Thursday is one B1 page, not a new identity. Friday is a recap, with a second B1 only if Thursday stayed readable.
That week as a strip, Saturday first:

Saturday: prove the loop
Aprendiendo a reciclar en casa is home recycling in everyday present-tense Spanish. Your job is to finish one short text and prove the 15-20 minute loop. If a random page is opaque, you are not A2 yet. Open the day-one stories and skip forcing this week.
Sunday: a second finish
La aventura de acampar is a family camping trip. Same A2 ease, new setting: forest, tent, campfire. Saturday should not be a one-off. If 1199 feels heavier, reread 1209.
Monday and Tuesday: ordinary volume
Monday is Visitando a los abuelos en el pueblo: grandparents in the village, still A2. Tuesday is Un día en el zoológico: a zoo day, different setting, still finishable. Swap down to Sunday or Saturday if a page slips under about 80%.
Wednesday: light stretch
Un día divertido en el parque de atracciones is an amusement-park day, A2-high, more past-tense action. Light stretch, or reread Tuesday if you are tired. If 1210 felt tiny, open Mi robot ayudante en el futuro instead.
Thursday: the one B1 page
El Misterio del Mapa Pirata is the stretch. Try it. Quit if it wrecks the week (under about 80%). Swap down to unused A2: 1211 or 1209. Other B1 hedges if 1204 is a miss: El secreto del río encantado, El Rescate en la Montaña Nevada, or El robot que aprendió a soñar.
Friday: recap, then a fork
Recap a handful of phrases from Saturday and Sunday. Then pick Friday from how Thursday felt:
| If Thursday felt... | Friday do this | Text |
|---|---|---|
| Heavy, under ~80%, or you skipped the stretch | Recap phrases from 1209/1199 + easy A2 | Mi robot ayudante en el futuro |
| Fine, page stayed clear | Recap a handful of phrases, then a second B1 | Mi primer viaje solo en tren |
| Tired but still A2-ok | Recap only + reread Sat or Sun | 1209 or 1199 |
A second B1 is optional. A calm A2 Friday still counts as a full week.
Can I start on Monday instead?
Yes. Saturday is the default so the weekend is Day 1 and Day 2, not a marathon and not a rest day. Shift the strip. Keep the roles: warm-up, volume, light stretch, B1 stretch, recap.
Do I have to finish every text?
Aim to finish. If the timer ends mid-story, stop. Pick it up tomorrow or swap down. Success is sessions done, not a perfect grid.
If a locked day is already finished or too tiny, do not renumber the week. Use the hedges above. Off-app legal shorts belong on the legal source map, not as numbered days here.
How does one 15-20 minute session work?
Same loop every day. Meaning first. Timer on.
- Read for meaning. Do not start a word list.
- Check only blockers: words that stop the sentence.
- Save a few phrases. A handful is enough.
- Stop on time. Close the tab even if the story is fun.
That loop, in one picture:

If you want the tap-to-translate and phrase-save steps, how to use covers them. You do not need that page to start Saturday.
How many minutes at A2-B1?
15-20 is the dose. Not 45-60. Not two hours on Sunday instead. The Saturday Start is the first sitting. Then the same short loop repeats Monday through Friday.
What if I understand under 80%?
Stop the stretch. Reread yesterday or open an easier A2 from the table. The 80-90% stay rule is an estimate, not physics.
Why do A2 days and the B1 day have different jobs?
Most days you finish A2. One day you stretch. Friday is a choice, not a test.
| Role | Days | Job |
|---|---|---|
| Warm-up | Sat-Sun | Easy finishes so the loop feels real |
| Volume | Mon-Tue | Everyday topics, different settings, still A2 |
| Light stretch | Wed | New setting or A2-high; reread if tired |
| Stretch | Thu | One B1 page-set; quit if it wrecks the week |
| Recap / fork | Fri | Phrases + easy A2, or a second B1 only if Thu stayed clear |
The same idea as a board:

Should every day be B1 if I am "almost B1"?
No. Six hard days is how the week dies. One stretch day is the point.
What does a good Friday look like?
A handful of phrases you can still use, and either a calm A2 finish or a second B1 that did not feel like a test.
What if I miss a day?
One miss is fine. Do not double into a 40-minute cram.
If you miss two in a row, restart with an easy A2 (1209 or 1199), not the B1 stretch.
Miss Saturday? Start Sunday. The strip still works. Rename Day 1.
Success for the week: 6-7 sessions, 5-7 texts finished, a handful of phrases, and one B1 page that did not wreck the week.
Not success: A2 to B1. That takes months and many readers. If you want month two, use the 30-day comprehensible input plan or the full reading method. This page stays a seven-day calendar.
Where does MovaReader fit?
The seven shorts are free articles in the library. Guest can read them and use about 20 word translations a day. If you tap more, Reader is about €1. Pro is about €5 if you want trainers. See pricing.
The language map is a compass for gaps, not a free CEFR exam. How to use covers tap-to-translate and saving phrases. Your own legal EPUB is fine. We do not host commercial novel chapters.
This week will not move you from A2 to B1. It will not turn a hard page into A2 by magic. After Day 7:
- A Sat-Sun book: short Spanish novels for a weekend
- More texts by level: free graded Spanish readers by level
- More in-app IDs: Spanish graded reading stories by CEFR
- Legal sources off-app: free graded Spanish readers online
FAQ
Is 7 days enough to reach B1?
No. Seven shorts will not move A2 to B1. Ranges that get people to B1 are months and many readers, not one calendar week. Success here is sessions done, texts finished, a few phrases, and one B1 page that did not wreck the week.
How many minutes should I read Spanish each day at A2?
15-20 minutes is enough for this plan. Longer is fine if you stay in the 80-90% zone. Do not skip six days and cram on Sunday.
Can I start a Spanish reading habit on the weekend?
Yes. Saturday is Day 1 on purpose: a short finish, not a movie marathon and not a rest day. You can also start Monday; keep the same roles.
What should I read each day in Spanish at A2-B1?
The table above. That 7-day Spanish reading schedule is already named: 1209, 1199, 1202, 1157, 1210, 1204, then 1211 or 1172. Not any random reader. Swaps live in the hedge list.
What if I am still A1?
This week will feel opaque. Use the day-one stories and an A1 sample first. Come back when a page of 1209 is mostly clear.
Do I need a paid plan for this week?
No. The seven shorts are free articles. Guest translations are limited (about 20/day). Reader ~€1 if you tap more; Pro ~€5 if you want trainers. The map is not a free exam.
